Diabetes Conditions

PRE-DIABETICS

Prediabetes is a condition characterized by a fasting blood glucose level between 100-125 mg/dL, a 2-hour post-glucose level of 140-199 mg/dL, and/or an HbA1C level of 5.7%-6.4%. The initial approach to managing prediabetes involves lifestyle modifications.

Diabetes Conditions

TYPE 1 DM

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is a chronic autoimmune condition where the pancreas produces little to no insulin. It is commonly diagnosed in children and young adults. With T1DM need to take insulin injections for life, in addition to making lifestyle modifications.

Diabetes Conditions

TYPE 2 DM

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is caused by both impaired insulin secretion and varying levels of insulin resistance in peripheral tissues, which together result in elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). This needs lifestyle changes.
